The cascade of good news actually catches Selena off-guard. Nevertheless, she's happy. At least Billi's life is going somewhere the moment he decides to stay in Hoenn.

“You know, you can think it as a separate franchise of Vantage!” Selena humors him as she relaxes her arms on he cold stone behind. “But seriously, I hope you become a better gym leader than I am.”

The warm bath is soothing and it gives her better insight at recollecting incidents in her life that she wants to change and work on.

She hopes the humor does not put too much pressure on Billi Marsh, but she thinks it's a good joke anyway. A journalist and a top-notch pokemon trainer of the region. Folks sure have a lot of expectations for them especially when they're supposed to be the ones in the news even when they're the ones making them.

But if she will be totally honest, there are things she thinks she can still do better. At least, when inspiring other trainers to follow her footsteps of serving the people with all they can.

In a way Billi didn’t want this job to prove anything to anyone else, and he didn't view himself as a trainer so he was shocked to find out he was even selected. Though...he thought of taking it to somehow lend some title of strength to his natural….well squishy confidence in the fray. Perhaps the title would harden him up some, make everything easier, make people around him, as a city less……...toxic. Provided he could change a couple lives and make other’s smile it’d be worth it. “ I know..” he looked away for a second. [break][break]

“I'm more worried...about leaving my home here because I love it so much. And to be honest I only ever visited petalburg for short periods, so my knowledge is limited. But they seem like nice people!”

“From what I know, Petalburg does seem like those textbook definition of suburbs. I honestly prefer Lilycove, as it is similar to those cities I've been living for the past few years.”

Vermillion in Kanto, Goldenrod in Johto, Sunyshore in Sinnoh, Castelia in Unova, everything in Alola—all of which has the best view of the vast ocean, and Lilycove does remind her of the adventures she has had before she's arrived in Hoenn.

“Don't fret. That's the same thing you almost said to me when you applied to your job, but look where it has got you now!” She rises from the water and steps out of the pool. “I'm sure you'll make yourself at home there. But remember that you'll always have a home here, alright?”
